BGE Secondary Scholarships 2020

Scholarships for Intake August 2020

Braeburn Garden Estate recognises that scholarships provide a positive motivation for students and will also aid successful students in their university applications and careers. Scholarships can also allow students to access BGE who may not ordinarily be able to do so.

BGE will be offering the following scholarships for September intake 2020:

Year 9 Intake: September 2020

Academic Scholarship

This is awarded on overall academic performance* to a BGE Year 8 student. School reports and teacher recommendations form the basis of the award in conjunction with a series of specified tests.

‘Excellence in’ Scholarship

This is awarded to a Year 8 student(s) who may excel in extra-curricular activities including sports, music and drama. Students are expected to exhibit performance at a representative level and are likely to undertake performance tests, specific to the award they are seeking to receive.

Both year 9 scholarship categories may allow up to a 30% reduction on tuition fees that will apply to years 9, 10 & 11. Students should submit an application form and letter by Friday 20th March 2020. (This aspect must be completed by the student.)
