Scholarships for Intake August 2018

Braeburn Garden Estate recognises that scholarships provide a positive motivation for students and will also aid successful students in their University applications and careers. Scholarships can also allow students to access BGE who may not ordinarily be able to do so.

BGE will be offering the following scholarships for September intake 2018

 Year 9 Intake

   Academic Scholarship

This is awarded on overall academic performance* to a BGE Year 8 student. School reports and teacher recommendations form the basis of the award in conjunction with a series of specified tests.

  ‘Excellence in’ Scholarship

This is awarded to a Year 8 student(s) who may excel in extra-curricular activities including sports, music and drama. Students are expected to exhibit performance at a representative level and are likely to undertake performance tests, specific to the award they are seeking to receive.

Both year 9 scholarship categories may allow up to a 30% reduction on tuition fees that will apply to years 9, 10 & 11. Students should submit an application form and letter by Friday 30th March 2018. (This aspect must be completed by the student.)

International Baccalaureate Diploma Course Intake

   Academic Scholarship

This is awarded on overall academic performance* to any student (Braeburn or otherwise) who has an existing set of KCSE or IGCSE examination results taken in their first sitting. Applicants will submit an application letter together with their ‘mock’ examination grades by Friday 30th March 2018. The student(s) will be awarded a scholarship of up to a 30% reduction on tuition fees for the 2-year duration of the course, dependent on final results in August.

   ‘Excellence in’ Scholarship

This is awarded to a Year 11 student(s) who may excel in extra-curricular activities including sports, music and drama. Students are expected to exhibit performance at a representative level and are likely to undertake performance tests, specific to the award they are seeking to receive.
