Brookside trip

Last Friday (26th Nov) IB1 students studying business and chemistry had the exciting opportunity to visit the Brookside Dairy HQ in Ruiru.
As you may be aware, Brookside is the dominant dairy company in Kenya, with a market share of over 50%. Consequently, the insight into their business and marketing strategies, in the form of a very informative presentation, was extremely valuable for our business students.
The students were also led on a factory tour, where they gained fascinating insights into the analytical and manufacturing processes involved in the dairy industry. In the lab they observed how the quality of incoming and outgoing products are assured and on the factory floor, they saw how raw milk is transformed into a wide array of tasty products.
