Environmental Systems and Societies Trip

4th February 2022

The Elsamere Education Centre on the banks of Lake Naivasha, played host to the IB1 Environmental Systems and Societies students last week, in the first proper trip since Covid broke. The students undertake fieldwork investigations and got to grips with some of the equipment that they will need to carry out their IA’s and extended essays.

Like all good scientific investigations there was a healthy dose of maths and statistical analysis included, adding some excitement to the nature walks and workshop sessions that were provided. The students took away invaluable experiences that will be useful in their residential trip next term, when they travel to the coast to undertake and write up their Group IV projects.
