FS2 trip to Mlango Farm on 23rd, October 2018

29th October 2018

The FS2 children went to visit Mlango farm in Limuru. The children went home having had a first-hand experience of many aspects of farming and the work involved. For some, it was their first farm visit and we are glad to have provided that opportunity. The children learnt names of different vegetables, saw how they grow, and tasted the vegetable soup that they prepared and cooked themselves.

Most of the children can now differentiate between fruits and vegetables. They also learnt how to take care of different animals. Though a challenge to some, the children enjoyed going round the muddy farm which made them feel like ‘real farmers’.

We had a great day out!
