Kiambu County Sprints and Relays Championship

Kiambu County Sprints & Relays Championship 

Kiambu county sprints & relays Championship was held from 21st to 22nd May 2022. Twenty swimming clubs & schools participated at the gala hosted by Regis School Runda.

28 swimmers from BGE represented Braeburn Swimming Club:

Ola, Khalil, Zaira, Manna, Eowyn, Hana, Zara, Katelyn, Kadin, Maynuel, Dusan, Meggie, Mercy, Didier, Stefan, Khalil, Alan, Lorenzo, Paulina, Pepukai,Grace, Ema, Sita, Adiela, Salome, Max and Samarth.

Braeburn swimming club came in 3rd place with a total of 58 medals (19 Gold medals, 22 silver medals & 17 bronze medals.) Our girls took overall 2nd runner up trophy, while individuals ranking were as follows;

Paulina attained a trophy in the 8-9 Best girl swimmer with 64 points.

Pepukai attained a trophy in the 10-11 Best girl swimmer with 41 points.

Eowyn attained a trophy in the 16 & Over Best girl swimmer

Individual results:

In the age group 8-9 girls,

Paulina attained 4 gold medals and 4 silvers. Zara attained 1 silver and 1 bronze.

In the age group 8-9 Boys,

Khalil attained a gold and bronze medal while Lorenzo gave us personal best in all his races.

In the age group 10-11 girls, 

Pepukai attained 2 gold medals, 3 silvers and 1 bronze. Katelyn attained 2 gold medals, Ola attained a bronze medal. Mercy, Adiela, Sita and Salome attained personal best in all their events with level 3 and level 2 times.

In the age group 10-11Boys,

Kadin and Stefan attained personal best in all the races they swam.

In the Girls 12-13 age group 

Meggie attained 2 Golds and 1 silver medal. Zaira attained 2 silvers and 1 bronze. Ema attained 1 silver and 2 bronze medals while Grace attained personal best in all the races she swam.

In the Boys 12-13 age group

Max attained 1 Gold, 4 silvers and 1 bronze medal,, Dusan attained 1 Gold and 1 bronze medal. Alan attained 2 bronze medals while Samarth and Didier beat their personal best in all the races they swam.

In the Girls 14-15 age group

Manna attained 2 Gold medals 

In the Boys 14-15 age group

Maynuel attained 1 Gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.

In the girls 16 & over age group

Hana attained 2 Golds, 2 silvers and 1 bronze medal while Eowyn attained 1 Gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.
