CAA Age group Swimming Championships, June 3rd - 5th, 2022
The NCAA age group Swimming Championships was held from the 3rd to 5th of June 2022 at Makini School. 6 swimmers from BGE represented Braeburn Swimming Club: Hana, Eowyn, Dusan, Alan, Samarth and Saffi.
Braeburn swimming club came in 1st place overall with men attaining a total of 47 medals in 1st place and women attaining a total of 38 medals also in 1st place, while individuals ranking were as follows;
In the age group 16 & Over girls, Hana attained 3 silvers in 100m IM, 200m IM, 100m front crawl and a Gold in 50m butterfly stroke.
Eowyn attained 5 Gold medals in 1500m front crawl, 100m bk, 50m bk, 100m front crawl, 200m IM, a silver in 50m breaststroke and 4 bronze medals in 100m IM, 50m Butterfly Stroke, 100m breaststroke, lastly but not at least 50m front crawl IRON WOMAN, were she earned a prize of 3,000 Kenya shillings.
In the age group 12 - 13 years boys, Dusan attained 3 Gold medals in 100m backstroke, 100m front crawl, 50m backstroke and 3 silvers in 100m IM, 100m breaststroke, and the 50m breaststroke.
Alan attained a Gold medal in 50m breaststroke, a silver medal in 50m backstroke and a bronze medal in 100m breaststroke.
Samarth attained a silver medal in 100m backstroke and a bronze medal in 50m breaststroke.
In the age group 14- 15 years boys, Saffi attained a bronze medal in 100m backstroke besides beating his personal best level 3 and 2 times in the other races he swam.
