Planetarium Experience

On Wednesday, 11th October, the Year 5’s were visited by the Travelling Telescope group. It was an amazing experience!
We entered a gigantic black dome (planetarium) with projections on its roof and lay on mats while looking up at the stars and galaxies. It felt like we were travelling through time and space and we learnt lots of interesting facts about the Solar System. The projections also enabled us to see constellations and know the names of different stars.
We all thought it was a fantastic experience and a great way to wrap up our Earth and Space unit in Science!
