U11 match reports - BGE v Premier Academy

U11 A Girls

On Tuesday the U11A girls played Premier Academy. After a very successful start, scoring 2 goals in the first 4 minutes, they were able to find another scoring opportunity, and unfortunately conceded 4 goals. The girls came off disappointed but determined to make the next practices count.

U11 B Girls

The girls made a brilliant start to term 2b by winning their match 1-0 against Premier Academy. All the girls played extremely well but special mention to Angel (MVP) for her fantastic attacking skills and assisting Tala, who scored the best goal of the day. Sita, Katelyn and Angela displayed fantastic teamwork throughout the match as they defended our goal. Well done girls!

U11 A Boys

The boys in yellow battled their way to a 1-0 victory over Premier Academy on Tuesday. In a tight match, the difference was made by Samuele, who burst through in the second half to slam home and give us the victory. Well done to the whole team for a good performance.

U11 B Boys

The U11B boys played at home against Premier Academy. The game was evenly contested from the first whistle; both teams had good spells of possession and created a number of half chances. BGE scored first but did not have long to enjoy the lead as Premier equalised soon afterwards. BGE went on to score at the stroke of halftime to take the lead 2-1 at half-time, both goals being scored by Peter.

At the start of the second half, Premier equalised again to make it 2-2. From that point onwards, both teams played aggressively in search of a winning goal. BGE were awarded a short corner in the dying minutes of the game and they did not waste the opportunity to go in front through a well struck shot by Amar. Final score 3-2 to BGE!
