U13 A Girls vs St. Christopher's
In the first quarter Isabelle was on the receiving end of Grace's fantastic clearance from our defensive D. With good control Isabelle simply tapped the ball into the goal to make it 1-0.
More goal action came in the 3rd quarter with an immediate BGE attack - showing our intention early. Although it took longer than expected, Claudia travelled down the left wing delivering the perfect ball across the D to Elena who dutifully pushed it into the back of the goal, leaving the score 2-1 to BGE at the break.
In the 3rd and 4th quarters BGE increased their tally to 4 with a short corner conversion from Ivy and a final goal from Elena securing a 4-3 victory for BGE.
U13 A Boys vs St. Christopher's
The U13 A boys hockey travelled to St Christopher’s on Wednesday afternoon in their final fixture before the Kenton Tournament. BGE were clearly the more skilful outfit but struggled with the roll of the ball in the first quarter. A rare St Christopher’s attack early in the second quarter saw them take the lead into the half, 1-0.
The boys regrouped at half time and increased their defensive aggression and attacking prowess. A barrage of attacks saw some great saves and the opposition post hit until, eventually, Giacomo got the equaliser. 1-1 it finished but the second half will give the boys confidence going into Saturday.
MVP: Samuel (voted by opposition).
U13 B Boys vs St. Christopher's
The B team put on a strong performance at St. Christopher's, working hard from end-to-end as we recorded a convincing win.
Hardy, Jules and Shiv looked strong in attack; moving the ball quickly into the D and finishing confidently. Well done to the team on a good hockey season!
