U15 & Open sports days

12th October 2021

Week 6 saw our high school students don their house colours and get back onto the competitive scene with Interhouse Sports day. A combination of football, tug of war, track and field athletics proved a winning formula for maximum participation from every student across year 9 to year 13.

On Monday our year 9 and 10 students were in the spotlight with Zeus breezing to victory with a 61 point lead over 2nd place Poseidon with Athene and Artemis finishing 3rd and 4th respectively.

On Friday in the open/U19 age category Athene stole the show, beating Poseidon by 30 points to take 1st place. Zeus finished 3rd and Artemis 4th.

Some individual performances to highlight are -

Eloise IB1 jumped a season best of 8.40m in the triple jump.

Tristan Y11 recorded a personal best triple jump of 10.48m.

Devrath Y11 threw a personal best of 10.15m in the shot putt.

Alvin Y13 smashed his personal best in the long jump competition by a whopping 64cm, leaping a superb 5.89m.
