25th February 2022

U9 A Girls vs Premier Academy

We went head to head with Premier Academy and wow what a game! It was a very close match with great passing and teamwork from both teams.

In the first half, a nice cross from the left by Mariella saw Lizzie attempt a shot - only narrowly missing. It was exciting to see such sportsmanship and ability being shown by Renee, Joanne, Danica and Lilly as they guarded the goal. A special mention to Chloe who deflected the ball with her hand and tirelessly manned our goal. MVP Reagan. Score 0-0.

U9 A Boys vs Premier Academy

The BGE U9A boys played host to Premier Academy in a mouth-watering fixture. The boys started the game on the front-foot as they dominated the first phase of the game. It did not take long before they scored the first goal of the match, thanks to a close-range shot by Khalil. The goal early in the game boosted the morale of the boys as they continued to create chances and display good team play. It did not take long before Khalil scored again to extend the lead before half-time.

In the second half, the boys defended well to sustain the pressure from the opponents, in the end keeping a clean sheet. BGE created a few more scoring opportunities and were able to score a third goal through the in-form striker, Khalil. Final score: 3-0. The boys were happy to get another win!

U9 B Girls vs Premier Academy

On Thursday 24th February, the U9B girls team welcomed Premier U9B girls team for a friendly hockey match. The girls made a good start in their first half of ten minutes, dominating the whole game but they were just unlucky not to score.

In the second half, more fantastic hockey was on display once again which led the team to make two lovely goals from Emma, giving the girls a 2-0 win.
What was most impressive was our girl's ability to maintain space and not get drawn to the ball. Well done girls.
