U9 Hockey vs St. Christopher's Match

U9 A Girls vs St. Christopher's

The U9 A girls warmed up for their IAPS hockey festival at Hillcrest with a fantastic display of teamwork to secure a 1-0 win against ST. Christopher's. All of the girls played amazing hockey, working hard together and never giving in. Well done girls! MVP Reagan.

U9 B Girls vs St. Christopher's

On 3rd March, the U9 B girls team travelled to St. Christopher's school for a friendly match. It was an exciting moment for them to meet another new team.

In the first two quarters of 8 minutes each, the game was incredibly even, each team giving their all and working hard for each other, therefore no goals were scored. In the third and fourth quarters, the girls dominated the whole game and were able to break the defence with Emma and Milan making two fantastic goals, giving the girls a 2-0 win. Special mention goes to Htun, who was the MVP of the match.

U9 C Girls vs St. Christopher's

Yesterday the U9 C team had their first ever match, away at St. Christopher's. BGE presented a confident squad of 10 girls facing an equally enthusiastic team from St Christopher's

In the early minutes of the game, Hannah put BGE up 1-0 with a superb finish. St. Christopher's responded quickly, equalising then adding another goal to go up 2-1. Keila responded for BGE, dribbling across the pitch and hitting a wonderful shot to make it 2-2. Our joy was, however, short-lived as St. Christopher's added one more goal to go up 3-2.

In the final minutes of the match, our girls' efforts were rewarded with an superb finish from Hannah just before the final whistle, tying the match 3-3. Hannah was voted by the St C as the MVP. Great game girls!

U9 A Boys vs St. Christopher's

On Thursday, the U9 A boys played at home against St Chrispher's. The game was very competitive as the opponents made it tough for our boys to get to any sort of rhythm early in the game. In the first half, BGE had two good scoring chances but were unlucky not to convert them.

Going into the last quarter, the game was still 0-0. The boys' resilience came to the fore as they didn't give up playing well in search of a winning goal. It paid off in the end as Khalil scored a brace in the 4th quarter to secure another win for BGE. Well done to the boys for their determination!

U9 B Boys vs St. Christopher's

On home turf at BGE the boys under 9 B team won a hard-fought match against St. Christopher’s with a scoreline of 2-0. Just before the half time whistle, Jaden managed to overcome the strong St Christopher's defence to put BGE 1-0 up with a powerful strike into the bottom corner.

Throughout the match both teams played very well, showing some great passing skills and teamwork. The BGE defence of Pedro and Etienne proved too strong for their opponents maintaining a clean sheet.

Near the end of the match, a decisive break away from BGE ended with a quality finish from Kian into the back of the goal, rounding out a strong overall team performance.

U9 C Boys vs St. Christopher's

The boys' C team made their first ever appearance on the hallowed turf of BGE on Thursday, defeating St. Christopher's with some excellent hockey.

Our opponents couldn't handle the skills of Lorenzo, Rian, Kais and their band of merry men as they tapped, pushed, blocked and tackled their way to victory. Great game boys!
