6G's assembly!

12th October 2021

On Thursday 7th October 2021, 6G presented a lovely assembly about a very interesting topic: Black History Month. In the UK Black History Month is celebrated every October to remember about significant black figures that helped shape history.

They talked about the brave Harriet Tubman, who led thousands of slaves to freedom; Paul Stephenson, who made it illegal to discriminate against people in public; and last but definitely not least, the awesome Maya Angelou, who created inspirational poems and a civil rights activist. They all had one thing in common: they were proud to be themselves. With this, 6G were inspired to create their own poems explaining why they are proud to be themselves.

Don't forget to always be proud to be you no matter what!
