BGE Book Day!

9th May 2017

Thank you to all pupils and staff for a wonderful Book Day.  We saw some amazing costumes and participated in some really exciting and innovative events.  Each Key Stage had a schedule of activities in which pupils participated.  These included: BFG dream jars; ICT research activities, making book-marks; designing a cover of a book; mask making; music, drama, scavenger hunt, characterisation and of course DROP EVERYTHING AND READ!

The winners of the story competition will have their story and illustration published! Well done to:

  • EYU - Arjun - who produced a fun story which had suspense and a problem, a solution and a a happy ending!

  • LKS2 - Maggie - fun, fun, fun to read! Great use of imagery!
  • UKS2 - Tariq - great plot, fun to read, super imagery and use of chapters to divide the plot effectively.

Our costume parade lasted for about 20 minutes, Years 1 - 6 walked, skipped and danced through the atrium presenting a vast range of brilliant costumes - well done everyone!  Each Year awarded a special prize for the best costume.
