Happenings around and about Secondary School

17th November 2016

The weeks since half term have been awash with activity and the second of our termly theme weeks was well underway in week 11 as the students and staff focused on 'Well Being'.

Running and taking part in activities that aimed to bring a more healthy approach to mind, body and soul; there were 'Zen Zones' available to let the stress ebb away in a calm and relaxing environment. The catering department compiled a menu with a focus on healthy alternatives to everyday dishes and the Students challenged the staff to a number for activities including Crossfit challenges, tennis tournaments and netball and football fixtures.
The week culminated in the interhouse athletics which was won by Artemis house who maintained their hold on the title they took last year.
Success was not restricted to the track and field however and 6 students in the IB year groups attended a Business Symposium at Rusinga School, where they stood out as the best school there; winning the event for the second time in as many appearances.
TOK presentations are very much 'on trend' at this time of the year and the IB2 students have been working hard and presenting to the faculty under 'mock' conditions in readiness for their final presentations later in week 12.
