On Thursday, we had a fantastic day in the EYU, taking all of our learning outdoors.
'Outdoor Classroom Day is a global campaign to celebrate and inspire outdoor learning and play. Outdoor learning improves children's health, engages them with learning and leads to a greater connection with nature.'
Every class did a range of activities and the children had a wonderful day, full of hands-on learning.
Creche made flower potions in the garden, washed the doll's clothes and hung them up. They also had a picnic at snack time while watching the fish and ducks at the lake.
FS1 made clay faces in the trees near the lake, had a picnic snack, played running and chasing games, created a journey stick and spotted some animals and mini-beasts around the school grounds.
FS2 went fishing, went on a mini-beast hunt, played outdoor games, made bows and fishing rods and made pictures and words with leaves.
