STEAM Morning

5th June 2023

Year 5 had a fantastic time during STEAM morning on Thursday, 25th May. We had so much fun making a prototype for a robotic hand from recyclable materials.

To begin with, we did some research to find out about the hand and how it works (the human hand has 27 bones!) Once we had a better understanding of how our hand is structured, we began to design our robotic hand models, thinking about what we could use to represent the bones, tendons and muscles. We then collected our materials and began to assemble our prototypes, with some of us even coming up with more than one model.

It was truly an enjoyable experience!
