U15 Basketball Match

26th January 2022

The under 15 boys basketball team travelled to their first ever basketball tournament on Saturday at Hillcrest School. A team which comprised entirely of year 9’s, gave an excellent account of themselves beating NIS in the first game. Some poor finishing from close range against Light Academy ultimately cost them a semi-final spot, losing a game the boys knew they should have won. A narrow defeat to Premier followed by a convincing win against Hillcrest saw the boys unfortunately exit in the group stage. The boys’ athleticism and fitness were definitely their strength. The team needs to work on finishing from close range and making more layups. A good first outing for them as a team and they look forward to the KAISSO tournament on March 12th at Hillcrest.
