Year 2 TOPIC: Homes- Washing up during Victorian times

To develop our understanding of how life was like in the past (over 100 years ago), we investigated how laundry was done. We were lucky because we had some of the objects used in washing clothes such as the dolly stick/peg, the stomper, the clothes picker and the wash board. The learner’s realised that doing laundry was not as easy as they thought. Turning the clothes in the tub using the dolly stick was the hardest!
