IB Students "Big Project"

Last week our IB students delivered a new library and books to a local school in Narok County. This huge achievement forms part of their IB course and is result of much planning, fundraising and logistics to get this completed and resourced Library to a much needed cause. We are very proud of these students that they understand the impact of their service commitment to our wider community and fellow citizens, well done.

Theatre Summer Schools at BGE

Dear Parents, we are very happy to announce that BGE are hosting 2 x Theatre & Musical Summers Schools, run by our friends from Braeburn Arusha in mid July. For all students aged 8 and above who enjoy music, drama, dance and theatre, this will be a really exciting and enjoyable week, culminating in a performance on the final Sunday for parents to view.

Students are able stay here for the whole week or just attend daily.
If you are interested in booking a place for this programme, all details are on the flyer attached.

Outdoor Classroom Day

On Thursday, we had a fantastic day in the EYU, taking all of our learning outdoors.

'Outdoor Classroom Day is a global campaign to celebrate and inspire outdoor learning and play. Outdoor learning improves children's health, engages them with learning and leads to a greater connection with nature.'
Every class did a range of activities and the children had a wonderful day, full of hands-on learning.
Creche made flower potions in the garden, washed the doll's clothes and hung them up. They also had a picnic at snack time while watching the fish and ducks at the lake.
FS1 made clay faces in the trees near the lake, had a picnic snack, played running and chasing games, created a journey stick and spotted some animals and mini-beasts around the school grounds.
FS2 went fishing, went on a mini-beast hunt, played outdoor games, made bows and fishing rods and made pictures and words with leaves.
